Homeschool Support Group

NEW SUPPORT GROUP!

 

This is a support group for parents and adult family members who homeschool children of all ages. This meeting is to provide a safe place to get information on starting homeschooling, to ask questions, to learn, and to provide support for all adults who homeschool children no matter how long they've been doing it! Whether you're a newbie or a veteran, we want you to attend!

This is an ADULT-only meeting so that parents can feel free to open up and talk without little ears overhearing our concerns! Very often we can only get together for social support with our children, so this meeting is to provide a place for free, open discourse about homeschooling and all it entails. We will talk about the good AND the bad!

The group will be a SUPPORT group! Advice and suggestions are welcomed, but should be supportive, kind and respectful. Homeschoolers of ALL types are welcome, including Virtual Online Public school, Unschoolers and everything in between! If you educate your child at home, YOU ARE WELCOME! This will be a JUDGEMENT-FREE ZONE!


ALL Parents are welcome! Moms, Dads, Grandparents, whoever! If you homeschool your child, you are welcome!

Meetings repeat the FIRST TUESDAY of every month! We may choose to have topics and themes at the meetings but the first one will be an initial meet and greet.

Light snacks will be provided.

Informational Meeting for Spring 2015 Semester

Hello all! We will hold an informational meeting for those interested in Slidell Family Co-op in January!

Please join us for a casual meeting to find out more information about the Co-op. Attending the meeting is free and does not commit you to joining the Co-op.

When: Monday, January 5th, 2015, 6:30 pm

Where: Slidell Memorial Hospital Community Outreach, 2nd Floor Meeting Room

Who: Anyone interested in learning more about the Slidell Family Co-op. Current members are also encouraged to attend this meeting!!
